Jacques Moshe
Civil engineer Jacques Moshe was born in Thessaloniki in 1900. His father, Yuda Moshe, was a carpenter. He studied engineering at Paris’s “École spéciale des travaux publics, du bâtiment et de l’ Industrie” (ESTP Paris), graduating in 1922. During Thessaloniki’s reconstruction boom, he designed several important buildings, including the Olympion, the Vosporion Mansion, the Olympos-Naousa and the Uziel residential complex.
His office was originally located at 8 Venizelou Street, before moving (c. 1930) to the Aslanian & Uziel Mansion (at 14 Venizelou Str.).
